Red Shamrock Racing was created by the father-daughter duo of Mark and Laura Byrnes.

 

Laura is a first generation racer - the first in her family to race. Racing since age 11, Laura​ had a successful career in Junior Sedans - being named a ‘Star of the Future’, competing in various State and National Titles, alongside internationally in New Zealand’s Mini Stocks and as Team Captain of Australia.

In 2012 the team transitioned into Production Sedans. Laura was the Perth Motorplex Track Champion in her rookie season of Productions, named a ‘Speedway Australia Rising Star’ by Speedway Australia and attended the Australian Institute of Sport.

Laura has also competed in Legend Cars, Modified Sedans, and Super 6 Sedans.

In 2020 Red Shamrock Racing and Laura stepped up to Late Model Racing, the pinnacle of speedway sedan racing worldwide. In her first season, she finished as Rookie of the Year, 2nd overall in the Winter Series, and top 10 in both the Pro Dirt Series and Perth Motorplex Championship. She was a also a finalist in the WA Young Achiever of the Year Awards.
